Casa Grande Vietnam Vet's Photo Needed For National Monument Project

A group called Faces Never Forgotten wants to find a photo for every veteran listed on the Vietnam Memorial in Washington, D.C.

One of the photos still missing belongs to Casa Grande soldier Harold Joseph Marietta.

Originally from Sacaton, Marietta was 32-years old and a 14-year Army veteran when he was killed in Vietnam in 1966.

Volunteers working on the “Wall of Faces” website told The Casa Grande Dispatch that Marietta is one of about 700 faces still needed to complete the 58,315 photo project.

Once completed, visitors to the monument will also see the photos at the future education center adjacent to the Vietnam Veterans’ Wall.
