Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center Reaching Out To Hispanics

As more of us are living longer, there’s been an increase in cases of Parkinson’s disease — though it’s not an illness limited to older people.

The most common symptom is a tremor, which typically begins in the hands.

The Valley is home to one of the most active treatment facilities: the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at Barrow Neurological Institute. In recent years, the center has reached out to Hispanics who may be from another country and don’t speak English.
