2 Degree Celsius Global Increase Could Lead To Bigger Rises In Southwest

President Trump has said he plans to announce whether the U.S. will stay in the Paris climate accords or pull out in the next few days; several media outlets are reporting the president is expected to withdraw from the deal.

One of the goals of that agreement is to limit the global temperature increase to less than 2 degrees Celsius.

And researchers at the Northeast Climate Science Center at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, have been looking at what that kind of increase might look like regionally.

Ambarish Karmalkar is a climate scientist at the center, and he joins me.
