Farmers Insurance Hiring Hundreds In Phoenix

A national company is looking to hire hundreds of workers before the end of the year. It’s the latest move by Farmers Insurance to expand its footprint in Phoenix.

Farmers says it’s looking to fill more than 400 positions in claims and service operations at its regional office. Last year the company announced plans to move into a new building at Interstate 17 and Pinnacle Peak Road and create 1,000 new jobs by 2019.

As part of its deal with the city, Farmers can collect up to $500,000 for workforce training. It breaks down to $1,000 for each new employee that makes more than $44,000 a year.

Farmers will hold a hiring event on June 15 from 3–7 p.m. at its north Phoenix office. Those interested in applying are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their resume to the regional office at the corner of Pinnacle Peak Road and Interstate 17.

“We’re looking to hire candidates on the spot if they meet the necessary requirements of a quality candidate as assessed by the on-site recruiters and hiring managers,” Susan Avelluto, head of talent, said in a news release.
