Lizard Fire southeast of Dragoon, Arizona.

There are 13 wildfires burning around the state, the largest in Southern Arizona near Dragoon.

The lightning caused Lizard fire has grown to more than 15,000 acres, but fire officials are hopeful that future growth will be minimal.

On Sunday, the Maggie fire also ignited near the Interstate 17 and Sunset Point. The I-17 remains open, but the Arizona Department of Transportation is closely watching its activity.

All state-owned and managed lands were placed under Stage 1 fire restrictions – banning the use of campfires and fireworks – last week.
