Earlier this week, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced the vote on the Senate health-care bill would be held until after the Fourth of July legislative break.
Sen. John McCain has said multiple time he’s disappointed in the way the legislation was written. And during a Facebook town hall he says it should be looked at again -- even if that means going back to the drawing board.
“I’m not sure how this is all going to turn out. But I think there’s every possibility — I’m not saying probability — but every possibility that we may have to go back to square one, sit down with the Democrats and see if we can work something out together," McCain said.
McCain says he’s still studying the bill and working closely with Gov. Doug Ducey and other state legislators. He says he’s continuing to look for ways to make sure it does not have a negative impact on Arizona’s Medicaid system, known as AHCCCS, which would receive steep cuts under the current bill.
