Raytheon announced Wednesday a new contract from the U.S. Navy for F-18 aircraft. It comes just two weeks after the company announced a new surface-to-air missile contract awarded to its Tucson location.
The new F-18 contract is valued at $90.8 million with work at locations in California, Massachusetts and Mississippi.
It comes on the heels of the company’s most recent announcement that its business unit, Missile Systems, will be doing work for the U.S. Navy primarily in Tucson.
That $617 million contract, awarded in mid-June, is to supply surface-to-air missiles, or SM-2s, to U.S. and Allied Foreign Navies in the Netherlands, Japan, Australia and South Korea.
Raytheon is one of Arizona’s largest employers.
