Rain is finally in the forecast later this week. After experiencing record-breaking heat in June, the Valley may see some monsoon activity after a long, dry spell.
Travis Wilson is a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Phoenix.
"The last time we got rain here on Phoenix was actually on May 9 when we recorded 0.01 inches at Sky Harbor," he said.
Wilson says we can expect to see a 10 percent chance of rain starting Friday afternoon. By Saturday, he says the chances increases to 20 percent.
