One of the nation’s leading gay rights group’s plans to flex its political might in the run up to next year’s midterm elections.

The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) is directing $26 million into political organizing efforts nationwide and heaviest in six states where sitting GOP U.S. senators are vulnerable. That includes Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake.

Republican senators targeted in five other states have seats in Nevada, Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan and Pennsylvania.

Last year, the HRC’s campaign in North Carolina was credited for defeating incumbent Republican Gov. Pat McCrory who signed the controversial “bathroom bill” into law, which was later repealed by the Democrat winner.
