As the Phoenix area prepares for a chance of more rain, officials say they have a better idea of where monsoon storms hit the hardest on Sunday night.

High winds toppled trees and caused power outages throughout metro Phoenix, but the storm dropped the most water near Goodyear and Litchfield Park, said meteorologist Daniel Henz with the Maricopa County Flood Control District.

Looks like the heaviest rain that we saw within our alert network, as well as what we were seeing from local storm spotters, was actually kind of around the I-10 corridor, between the Loop 303 and the Loop 101," said Henz.

Henz said between and 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain fell in the Southwest Valley.
