Artificial intelligence — despite its sci-fi connections and worrisome connotations — is becoming more common, and researchers are increasing the emphasis they put on it in potentially real-world situations.
But earlier this week, tech entrepreneur and Tesla founder Elon Musk told the National Governors Association that AI is “the biggest risk we face as a civilization.” And he wants proactive regulation put into place.
