Study: Senate Health To Have Negative Affect On Arizona AHCCCS

At this point, the Senate’s Better Care Reconciliation Act — its proposed replacement of the Affordable Care Act — is in serious danger of not even receiving an official vote. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is still considering whether a vote should occur, even if that means most members give it a thumbs down.

The Washington, D.C.-based Center on Budget and Policy Priorities has released a study indicating the BCRA would have a very negative effect on Arizona, including the state’s Medicaid program, AHCCCS.

We spoke with Dana Naimark, president and CEO of Children’s Action Alliance, about the new study.
