Republic Reporter Weighs In On Latest About Arizona Executions

A judge is set to rule in a case over whether Arizona must reveal its supplier of execution drugs and the qualifications of the people who help the state carry out the death penalty.

After the controversial execution of inmate Joseph Wood three years ago this week, the Associated Press, The Arizona Republic and other news outlets sued the state seeking that information.

Wood’s execution took nearly 2 hours, and he was given 15 doses of a combination of drugs as he gasped and snorted on the execution table.

For the latest on this, we talk to Arizona Republic reporter Michael Kiefer on the line.
