All people stranded when a flash flood swept through the Seven Falls area of the Sabino Canyon Recreation Park north of Tucson have been rescued.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Unit worked into the night to retrieve at least 26 people. They were stranded on the far side of the bridge leading from Seven Falls/Bear Canyon to the parking lot of the recreation area.

Earlier in the day, the Sheriff’s Department warned on Twitter the area was under a flash flood warning and hikers were urged to leave.
The hikers were shuttled by helicopter to safety and none were in immediate danger.
