Arizona Attorney General Issues Judgment Against Company For Phony Fliers

Attorney General Mark Brnovich is cracking down on imposter mailers. His office issued a new order for one mailing agency to pay refunds for the phony fliers on Monday. His office issued a $400,000 judgment against Mandatory Poster Agency, Inc. and its owners for sending government annual minutes lookalikes.

The company sent nearly 65,000 deceptive solicitations to Arizona businesses in 2013, instructing that each business pay $125 to fulfill an annual minutes requirement that didn’t exist.

Nearly 1,700 businesses responded to the solicitations. Brnovich’s judgment resolves the 2015 consumer fraud lawsuit filed against the business. Mandatory Poster Agency also agreed to pay $175,500 in restitution to customers and another $125,000 to the state in civil penalties.
