Sprouts To Expand Amazon Prime Partnership

Sprouts Farmers Market Inc. says it is expanding its relationship with Amazon Prime Now, with a goal to reach at least half of Sprouts stores nationwide.

The announcement was part of the grocer's second-quarter earnings call. Phoenix-based Sprouts reports a 1.4 percent rise in same-store sales and revenues of $1.2 billion, up 15 percent over the same quarter last year.

Sprouts initially launched the Amazon partnership with a 10-store test run. After Amazon’s acquisition of Whole Foods, rumors circled around whether Sprouts online grocery sales would continue.

Sprouts operates more than 260 stores across 15 states.

Their Prime Now service is expected to be in place in twenty locations by year end.
