One somewhat surprising advocate of an Arpaio pardon is Arizona Republic and azcentral.com columnist E.J. Montini.
In a column printed in this morning’s edition, Montini wrote that putting Arpaio behind bars “isn’t necessary. It smells more like vengeance than justice to me. Like overkill.”
