Mesa-based chemical company is expanding its operation to Texas.
MGC Pure Chemicals America is opening a manufacturing plant in Killeen, Texas near Austin.
The tech manufacturer will produce super-pure hydrogen peroxide, used as a cleaning chemical in the manufacturing of semiconductors.
MGC’s American operation is headquartered in Mesa, where it’s operated since 1995. The parent company is based in Japan.
As of June 15, 2017, the Mesa plant has 96 employees and produces approximately 70,000 tons of hydrogen a year.
The Texas plant it set to begin production in 2019.
