In some parts of the Valley, it seems like you can’t turn around without seeing an apartment building being constructed. But not everyone can afford the rising cost to rent here.
For those people, there are government housing programs to help subsidize rent. But a new project from The Arizona Republic shows there’s a large group of people stuck in the middle.
They make too much money to qualify for government housing help. And, they don’t make enough to afford a home of their own.
I sat down with the Alden Woods who reported this story for The Republic to talk more about the people who fall into this housing gap.
