Scottsdale-Based Pei Wei Moving Headquarters To Texas

Pei Wei, the fast-casual offshoot of  P. F. Chang's China Bistro, will leave its longtime headquarters in Scottsdale and establish a new home base in Las Colinas, Texas.

Five hundred thousand dollars in incentives from Texas and $75,000 from the city of Irving have sweetened the deal to lure the chain.

The move will cost more than $1.5 million, according to a release issued Wednesday by the office of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott.

It is the fifth headquarters relocation that Abbott has secured with the help of the state money. Pei Wei executives say the new location will bring 100 jobs to North Texas over five years.

Pei Wei had U.S. sales of $366 million last year, according to restaurant research firm Technomic. That's up from 2015 sales of $350 million.
