As of Monday, 23 flights through Phoenix had been canceled and several more delayed after tropical storm Harvey whipped through southeast Texas over the weekend.
The storm, which hit land as a hurricane, is continuing to affect flights across the country as airlines halt or reroute service.
Greg Roybal from Sky Harbor Airport says passengers should check their flights before heading to the airport.
"Their flight status might be impacted by weather that’s happening around Texas, even if they’re not flying to Texas," Roybal said.
Airports in the area are expected to remain closed for the next several days.
