Arizona Search Dogs are on the way to aid Texans.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency has deployed more than a dozen search and rescue teams to southeast Texas following this weekend’s devastating storm.

Among them, Arizona k9 units are preparing to wade through water and debris to rescue civilians stuck in their homes.

Brian Bowers with Arizona Task Force 1, and his lab named Free, are driving to Houston.

“Our gameplan is to work safely and to work smartly," Bowers said. "There’s a lot of people that need help here, but it’s not something we can just rush into cause there’s a lot of players in this game.”

Bowers is one of seven-dozen emergency FEMA personnel deployed to the area from Arizona.
