Former budget analyst Diane Richards pleaded guilty to four counts of theft in an embezzlement scheme from 2007 to early 2015.

Officials say Richards used a city of Kingman credit card to pay for more than a $100,000 of personal expenses, then submitted false invoices to account for the money.

She also misappropriated more than $990,000 from a city trust account.

She faces up to nine and a quarter years in prison.

As part of her plea agreement, Richards will repay $1.1 million to Kingman and give up her state retirement benefits.
