Harvey Could Be Most Expensive Natural Disaster In U.S. History

We begin with the devastation of Hurricane Harvey for millions of Americans all along the Gulf Coast.

The rain is still falling over parts of Texas and Louisiana, and AccuWeather says Harvey could be the most expensive natural disaster in U.S. history.

That’s something Kevin Simmons studies. He’s an economics professor at Austin College near Dallas and has been researching natural hazards for more than 20 years.
