Mesa Mayor John Giles Calls On President To Keep DACA

The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, program could be on its way out.

President Trump is reportedly considering ending the program that protects undocumented immigrants who were brought to the U.S. as kids from deportation, and allows them to attend school and work.

A group of attorneys general has threatened to sue to end the program if the president doesn’t do so by Sept. 5.

But a bipartisan group is mayors is calling on Trump to keep DACA and allow the immigrants to stay. Mesa Mayor John Giles is one of them, and he joins me.
