Indian Country Today Media Network To Cease Active Operations

A large Native American media company will be suspending active operations Monday. Indian Country Today Media Network was launched in 2011 after evolving from a regional newspaper.

In a statement on the company’s website, publisher Ray Halbritter of the Oneida Nation in New York describes the move as a hiatus and that company leaders are considering alternative business models.

The media network reports reaching millions of readers through its online and magazine articles while it was actively operating.
