Researchers at Arizona State University want to pay marijuana users to study their habits and symptoms. The study is listed on ASU’s website.
Dr. Madeline Meier at the Substance Use, Health and Behavior Lab wants to understand the causes and consequences of substance abuse.
The study will pay $95 to legal medical marijuana users from 18 to 30 years old for participating for one week.
Researchers want to find links between cannabis use, psychotic-like experiences and vascular health. It’s also documenting college students who vape marijuana, as well as older marijuana users for neuropsychological impairment.
In 2014, lawmakers pressured the University of Arizona to fire a professor who had received prior federal approval to conduct research on the efficacy of marijuana on patients suffering from post traumatic stress disorder.
