Merkel Expected To Win Re-Election As German Chancellor, But At A Political Cost?

Germans head to the polls on Sunday, to decide whether or not Chancellor Angela Merkel will win a fourth term in that office.

She’s expected to win, although the campaign has exposed some potential weaknesses for the incumbent.

With me to break down the German elections is Volker Benkert, an assistant professor of history at ASU. He teaches modern German and modern European history.
