What FCC Decision On Wireless Competition May Say About Future Of Net Neutrality

The FCC says the wireless industry is competitive. That’s a change from the past eight years, when FCC members declined to make that determination.

Congress requires the agency to look at the state of the wireless market every year. This year’s report comes against the backdrop of a potential merger between Sprint and T-Mobile, and discussions about the future of net neutrality, which says internet service providers have to treat all online data the same.

With me to talk about what FCC members found and what it means is Maggie Reardon. She’s a senior reporter for CNET and has written about this.
