Arizona Fall League Opens With New Pace-of-Play Testing

The Arizona Fall League starts its 2017 season this afternoon, with two games — there’s another tonight.

The fall league is made up of some of the top prospects from Major League farm systems.

It’s also been a testing ground for proposed rules changes for the majors; instant replay, for example, was used in the Fall League before moving to the Major Leagues.

To get a sense of what baseball officials are looking to give a trial run to this season, I’m joined by William Boor. He's a reporter for MLB.com and has covered the Arizona Fall League for the past few seasons.
