President Trump has been in meetings to discuss the future of the North American Free Trade Agreement. On Wednesday, he met with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
“We’re very much focused on continuing to negotiate in good faith on modernizing and upgrading NAFTA," Trudeau said.
The Trump administration would like to reshape the pact. The administration has criticized Canada’s dairy and wine industries while also imposing duties on Canadian airliners and lumber exports. Here’s Trudeau again.
“The American administration and the president makes decisions that surprise people from time to time and that is certainly something we are very much aware of and very braced for," Trudeau said.
