Powerful Storms Have Led To Shortage Of Meals Ready To Eat

The combined force of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma caused dramatic damage to communities from Houston to areas of Florida to Puerto Rico. And their impact will continue to be felt for years to come.

From a seasonal standpoint, those powerful storms have also led to a serious shortage of MREs — or meals, ready to eat.

Blair Calder is the president of Meal Kit Supply, which is currently out of its stock of MREs. He’s with me to talk about it.
