Final Defendant Arrested In Notorious Gunwalk Murder Case

Authorities in Mexico have arrested the last man wanted for the murder of a U.S. Border Patrol agent in Arizona.

Federal prosecutors in San Diego confirmed that Jesus Rosario Favela Astorga was arrested in Mexico and will be extradited for the murder of Brian Terry in 2010.

He is the last of seven defendants wanted in the case.

In 2010, agent Brian Terry was killed during a gunfight with a rip-off crew near Nogales, Ariz.

Two of the guns found at the crime scene, AK-47 variants, originated from a Mesa gun store. They were part of a scandalous gun investigation initiated by the Obama Administration called Operation Fast and Furious.

Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives agents allowed illicit gun purchases to be conducted in hopes they would lead to Mexican drug cartel leaders.

Instead, most of nearly 2000 guns were lost and used in murders throughout both countries.
