Researcher Examines Arizona's School Grades

The state Board of Education released preliminary letter grades for Arizona schools earlier this month, and a number of schools have decided to appeal what they were given — ranging from those that received a relatively high grade of B or much lower than that.

And a series of public hearings is going to be held through early November to look into revising how grades are decided.

Matt Ladner, Senior Research Fellow at the Charles Koch Institute, recently wrote an essay called "Arizona’s New School Grades Lack Face Validity." And he is with me.
