Nearly 800,000 so-called DREAMers remain in limbo as Congress and President Trump continue to work on legislation that could provide them some sort of security and, potentially, a path to citizenship.
House Speaker Paul Ryan was connected to a plan that would link a new DREAM Act to an omnibus spending package.
Ryan has since denied that, but putting immigration legislation in that type of bill wouldn’t be a complete surprise.
