How CHIP The Reauthorization Became A Battle Over The ACA

Friday morning the House passed a reauthorization of the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), which insures more than 8 million low-income children. But it probably won’t make it into law.

The program expired at the end of September and has left those kids in limbo.

The bill now moves on to the Senate.

Julie Rovner, Kaiser Health News’ chief Washington correspondent, joined The Show to break down what happened in the House and to explain how a straight-forward CHIP reauthorization has become a battle about the Affordable Care Act.
