Arizona Gov. Ducey Says He Needs More Details On Tax Plan

A group of Republicans plans to meet with Gov. Doug Ducey on Monday to discuss tax reform.

Ducey said he's interested in a proper revamping of the tax code, but he's holding off on feedback of tax proposals in Congress.

“I’ve seen the outline and the frame work. I think there’s going to be a package here that could be a real positive for Arizona, but I want to have a better command of the details,” he said.

The House tax plan reduces the current seven tax brackets to four, and doubles everyone's standard deduction. But it also means state and local taxes, and medical expenses are eliminated as deductions.
