St. John's School Of Law To Accept GRE For Admission

Another law school is following the University of Arizona’s lead to expand its standardized entrance exam options.

St. John’s University School of Law in Queens New York has announced it will accept the Graduate Record Exam, or GRE, in addition to the Law School Admission Test, or LSAT.

The LSAT had been the sole standardized test accepted by law schools for decades.

That changed in 2016 when the University of Arizona Law school announced it would accept the GRE. Since then, seven additional law schools have followed suit, according to data from Kaplan Test Prep.

Officials at St. John’s University say they hope the move will open the doors to a broader and more diverse set of applicants.
