Alice Cooper is in his sixth decade making and performing rock and roll. And he shows no signs of slowing down.
An Arizona original, Cooper is getting ready to host his 16th annual Christmas Pudding event with proceeds to benefit his Solid Rock Teen Center in Phoenix.
The concert features his friend and fellow Valley resident Rob Halford of Judas Priest, former Guns n’ Roses guitarist Slash, the band Filter and rock and blues legend Edgar Winter. It takes place Dec. 9 at the Celebrity Theatre.
Last week in the first part of our interview, we discussed the event and the kids it supports, as well as Arizona’s musical identity and why he leaves the politics out of his music.
In the second and final part of our chat with the son of a pastor, we discussed his shock rock persona, the difference between Alice the performer and Alice the person and how religion has influenced his music.
