Republican Gov. Doug Ducey says he would prefer that the GOP was running someone other than Roy Moore to fill a vacant U.S. Senate seat in Alabama after seven women accused Moore of sexual misconduct. Some of the women were underage at the time.
“I have said when women step forward with these allegations, it’s my experience that there is truth there. This was bad behavior 40 years ago. This is bad behavior today. If I was in the private sector, I’d terminate this guy," Ducey said.
Moore is a former Alabama Supreme Court chief justice who has denied the allegations. A special election for the Senate seat is Dec. 12.
