American Airlines Scheduling Glitch Leaves 15,000 Flights Without Pilots

Travelers making holiday travel plans on American Airlines this December found a big lump of coal waiting for them online.

The airline announced a scheduling glitch left 15,000 flights without pilots. It seems even pilots want some time off for Christmas.

And now the airline is scrambling to fix the issue, even offering to pay pilots 150 percent of their normal hourly rate.
