Political Polarization: How Divided Are Americans On Key Issues?

We hear on a regular basis how Americans are becoming increasingly polarized when it comes to our politics.

And that may be no surprise. After all, in 2017 networks cater to our political biases and states are more frequently identified as being "red" or "blue."

But are we truly becoming redder and bluer, or is that just the power of perception?

Despite all the attention given to this polarization, how divided are Americans when it comes to key issues? Not as divided as you might think, according to our next guest.

Morris Fiorina is the Wendt Family Professor of Political Science at Stanford University and a senior fellow at the non-partisan Hoover Institution.
