Prosecutors Seek Death Penalty In 'Serial Shooter' Case

Prosecutors plan to seek the death penalty against a former Phoenix bus driver charged in a string of deadly nighttime shootings that led some people to stay inside after dark.

A notice of intent to seek the death penalty against Aaron Juan Saucedo was filed Wednesday in eight of the nine killings in which Saucedo is charged.

It's not known whether prosecutors will seek the death penalty in the ninth killing.

Prosecutors say the death penalty was being sought because the killings were committed in a cold and calculated manner.

Thomas Glow, an attorney representing Saucedo, declined to comment on the plan to seek the death penalty against his client.

Saucedo has pleaded not guilty to charges stemming from the attacks.
