At a time when negotiations continue on whether DACA recipients will be able to remain in the U.S. under some sort of legal status — and with a reduction in the number of refugees the country will accept — Phoenix is hosting the National Immigrant Integration Conference beginning on Sunday.
The conference will draw more than 1,000 immigration advocates, policymakers and experts on panels such as Building Alliances in Difficult Times and Global Migration and the Rise of Nationalism.
The event is being sponsored by the National Partnership for New Americans. To learn more, I’m joined by that organization’s Executive Director Joshua Hoyt.
