CDC: More U.S. Kids Visiting ER For Non-Fatal Self-Inflicted Injuries

New research from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) shows some sobering trends in non-fatal self-inflicted harm among kids and young adults. The study looked at 10- to 24-year-olds.

Melissa Mercado worked on the research. She’s a behavioral scientist at the CDC, at the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control.
