You know those banners you see hanging from lampposts around the ASU campus? The ones advertising upcoming events, or promoting the Sun Devils?

Well, the school and a nonprofit have found a new use for them once they’re taken down — and that new use is tote bags.

Jim Hodges is employment development center manager for The Centers for Habilitation (TCH) in Tempe, which provides services to people with disabilities.

TCH is involved in the process of turning the old banners into totes. Hodges explained how this creative resuse got started.
