The Thomas Fire continues to burn through areas of Ventura and Santa Barbara counties in California.
The total reach of the fire is now up to more than 230,000 acres — making it the fifth-largest wildfire in that state’s history.
Homes and structures have been destroyed, and families were evacuated from their homes.
Wesley Barr and his family left their home in Ventura more than a week ago because of the advancing blaze, but returned on Sunday night to an intact house with only some smoke damage.
