Red squirrel.

An endangered species native to Arizona is in trouble. This summer’s Frye Fire burned more than 48,000 acres around Mt. Graham in southeastern Arizona, and that has led to a dramatic decrease in the number of red squirrels found there.

With me to talk about this is Marit Alanen, a Fish and Wildlife Biologist with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Tucson.
