A three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has handed a victory to environmental groups over a uranium mining ban on lands next to the Grand Canyon.
The National Mining Association and related groups had asked the court to overturn the 20-year moratorium that was put in place in 2012 by then-Interior Secretary Ken Salazar.
