Arizona Sen. John McCain is returning to Arizona and will miss the final vote on his party’s tax bill this week.
McCain has been in the hospital dealing with the side effects of cancer treatment.
McCain's son-in-law, Ben Domenech, talked about the McCain’s health on CBS’s “Face The Nation” on Sunday.
“Our thanks to everyone who has been sending thoughts and prayers to the senator this week," Domenech said. "We greatly appreciate it and he remains one of the toughest men on the face of the Earth as you know.”
Domenech said MCain was in good spirits and looking forward to going home for the holidays.
